We want to know what you want in the game going forward.

How long have you got? :)

My top 3 in no particular order....

  1. Some kind of announcement/invite system. For example, I want to play a $1m SNG or start a $5m ring game. I could sit there for hours and still not get a game going but I know there are players wanting to play at these levels its' just a matter of getting them there at the same time. If there was some sort of system whereby after a certain amount of waiting an announcment similar to the ones that are already in the game (Happy hour starts in 5 minutes, etc) it would make this much easier. Nex mentioned on Twitch that this would create a lot of 'spam' for players but I think that could be easily solved by allowing players to opt in or out via their game settings and they could also set a minimum level to which they receive invites. Also, another method to deter spam would be to charge players to make an announcment. Eg, You've been waiting 5 mins to start a $5m ring game and a popup comes asking if you'd like to announce the game to (those who are eligable and have opted in) players. You select YES but it's going to cost you 2% of the buy in to do so.

  2. Stop Ratholing (aka Banking aka Going South). This is the practice of leaving a table with your winnings and rejoining immediately with your original buy-in. There is nothing a (good) poker player hates more than to see chips leave the table. Players that rathole are (unfairly) reducing their risk at the table. It is forbidden in every real world card room/casino and most online casinos and should be forbidden on Prominence. A player is welcome to leave at any time but if they want to rejoin within a certain time (I suggest 20 mins) then they should do so with the amount they left with (if it's more than the buy-in obviously)

  3. Payout Structure. I think only top two should be paid in a 6 seater SNG. It's too easy to finish in the top 3 and if you finish first the reward is not high enough. If only two are getting paid it promotes a higher standard of poker which would improve the Prominence experience for everyone.

  4. Multi-table Tournaments. I'd love to see MTT's be introduced. They could be run at set times with an unlimted amount of entrants. Eg. 6PM every night there's a $5k buyin, 9PM there's a $20k, and so on, similar to the big poker sites with similar payout structures. There could be big weekly tournaments run at the weekends and maybe really big monthly tournaments with RL prizes.

Yes, I know that's four!

1.  Deep Stack poker- Have the ability to have games where the minimum buy in is 200 big blinds.  Example...blinds 500/1000  so minimum buy in would be 200k  with max being 300k or however high you guys decide.  I think the game rewards those who play best as mistakes are more magnified with deeper stacks.  One can keep the current buy in structure, but allow a deep stack option game for the ring games.  The tournies are up for debate, but ring games would love deep stack.

2. Pot LImit Omaha- The 2nd most popular variant of poker behind Holdem, but please make it 200 big blinds as it needs this buy in structure to have play towards the river.  Also keep it 6 max for PLO, as having 9 players just removes the outs for draws as 12 cards are taken out with the extra 3 players.

3. Playoffs for ranked play-  For heads up ranked (after regular season ends)  have the top 64 players play an elimination style tourney for first few rounds, then towards elite 8 make it best 2 out of 3, with championship game being best 3 out of 5 matches.  For tournies have the top 36 play on tables, the winners of those 6 tables meet up in the final table to decide the championship for the tournie playoffs.

4. Bring back chip shuffle/table layout packages-  The options that were found in Full House poker and full house pro were fun, the chip shuffle/table layouts/how you want chip stacks to look were cool options to spend chips on, added flair to the game.

5. Cards and suits in reply bar (website)- The poker tips section would take off if we could post cards and their suits from the menu bar found in the reply section (example: the Bold, Italics, Underline options found in the reply box).  This would allow players to create flop scenarios in their posts and make it easier for readers to follow along.  Its better to see AQ of hearts rather than typing it out.

Hope this all helps.

I'm sure there are 'smiley packs' you can add to the forum the would achieve this. Then a poster would just have to type something like 'ah' to have Ace of hearts pop up in the same way typing : ) brings up ''

Of course you could use ALT+numpad3 (or 4,5,6) to give the suit symbols like A♥ or 8♣

I'd like to see Omaha added too but I've no idea how to play.

1) This may sound trivial, but with ranked tournaments lasting up to 60 to 90 minutes with good players, it would be nice to have a slightly bigger selection of background tunes playing.

2) I'm in the ranked platinum category currently (PS4) and sometimes it takes half an hour of waiting to get in a match, when not enough platinum people are online. Most of the time gold ranked people get thrown in with us, thankfully, so the wait isn't that long. But especially today the game seems to ONLY search for platinum players and takes forever. So it'd be great to widen the search parameters after two minutes, to also search for silver and bronze people. I mean who wants to wait half an hour at odd times of the day?

3) May sound trivial again, but a frustration gesture would be nice. We can cheer, but sometimes I just want my character to do a facepalm or something to indicate I'm aware I played a bad hand. Lol

4) It would be nice to have a new location with a bigger table for 9 players.

I'd like to add I think it would be a mistake to remove payment for the third placed player. Especially if 9 player ranked matches are added.

Also, often times it can feel like a sort of punishment spending over an hour carefully playing and earning 50k chips, only for then player 2 to always go all-in and if you eventually check they suddenly win each hand and win the tournament with sheer luck. Though I don't know what could be done about that. I guess it's the nature of the game. But still annoying to lose against people like that. It's either fold everytime, or check their all-in and lose to their luck. Oh well. Love playing the game, though.

I'd like to see Omaha added too but I've no idea how to play.

There is a Omaha Hi/Low variant, but the regular version is played just like holdem.  The best 5 card hand wins, there are 5 community cards, but in Omaha you use exactly 3 of the 5  cards in conjunction with 2 of your 4 hole cards for the best 5 card hand.

Some basic preflop strategy for Omaha is to have cards that are connected and suited.

A♥K♥A♦K♦- This hand is really good as you have pocket Aces and Kings preflop to make sets, and two nut flush draws, and a nut straight draw with AK.  So a flop like A♠Q♥9♥  would give you top set, and you can make a 10 for a straight, or a heart for nut flush, or pair the board for top full house.  In Omaha you have a lot of stuff going on, in this flop top set and more importantly nut redraws.

A♥K♦Q♦J♥-  A hand with a lot of possibilities as you have one nut flush draw and a solid 2nd nut flush draw with KQ and you have a lot of possibilites for straights.

9♥8♥7♥6♥-This one would be dumped as your 4 hearts block a lot of your flush outs and these aren't strong flush draws in Omaha anyways...all you have going is the straight draws.  9♥8♦7♥6♦ is playable but I'd prefer it in late position and carefully played.

There is more to Omaha than this but its just to illustrate that it has a lot of action and there is some strategy adjustments coming from Holdem.

One common mistake is people sometimes go all in with a hand like A♠10♥J♣K♣  and board is 3♠4♠5♠7♠9♥  thinking they have the nut flush with the A♠  but all they have is Ace high.  In Omaha its 3 of the community cards with two of your hole cards...you'd need two spades for the flush.  But yeah just a fun game, and thank you for the tips on the suits.

In order

1) fixing the ranked payouts and/or descriptions. absolute must >.>

2) the diamonds (im all 4 :/) with new venue and while at it, do something about butchers and/or kleeners.

Im not one of those who majorly dislike those venues as they offer some change and all... but the noises shouldnt be so loud and frequent. Broken lamp and meatchopping for authentity ok, but not all 3 sec or constant *ploep, ploep, ploep* *bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*. its bs one has to either mute the sound or put the camera in a weird spot. and the performance/ hardware stress (at least butchers)

Edit 3) An option /preferance for what quickplay does on individual players games. I want to tell it that it should qeue me for ranked only. If omaha was there, first look for ranked. If that seems slow, omaha. But not ever ring game as I dont like it. If its too complicated to have preferances / options, move the  menu entry to "not top". Not sure its that popular and options never hurt, whoever wants quick ringgame entry could still have it set to that, maybe by default.

4) Omaha

I still think it wouldnt work very well/lots worse than holdem due to players and end up dead pretty soon... but its a try xD

As far as playing it goes, the part about 3 comcards + 2 hole is all you need to know really and that theres even more variance/ less dominating hands so dont go overboard on betting, and that whats good in holdem usually isnt in omaha. The rest comes by itself/logic. AAAA hole, generally quads+trips is a surprisingly shitty hand, as in the end all you have will be a pair (aces but still... A A x x would be much better as you could get more aces + have other cards to make something) with no where to go

The diamonds affiliation.

A better description for ranked rewards (it should convey more clearly that they are given at end of season)

1) First person option.

2) Chat/Headset feature only works if device is plugged in.

3) Able to select the venue you want to play at instead of auto placement.

I think the game is fine as-is, for the most part. You guys have made a lot of great refinements thus far. I feel reluctant to share any ideals regarding new features bc I have no clue what if feels like to be a developer... but since you asked...

1. 9-12 player ring games

2. The ability to see player movements while selecting call, raise, or fold. (I created a topic already regarding this)

3. Basic chat

4. Diamond, Platinum, and Gold bracelets.

5. More venues.

6. First person w/ VR capabilities.

I've dropped both of these ideas in various threads but this seems like the right home for them.

1. Season rewards based on highest rank achieved rather than where you finished.  This would remove the unintended encouragement of players to stop playing once they reach their goal rank.  Poker is also a high variance game where peaks and valleys are normal even when you are playing perfectly. Someone finding themselves in a valley just below a rank they've gone in and out of all season is a pretty arbitrary reason to withhold the reward.  If that person just stops playing a week before the season ends when they're on the higher rank they lock down the higher reward...as I said, it provides encouragement to stop playing, which I struggle to see as good.

The cost would be some players would catch a lucky streak and get a rank higher than they might 'deserve'...to that I say who cares? I'd rather see that happen than an arbitrary date unfavorably matching up with natural variance penalize someone who is actively playing.  I'm not saying once you reach a rank you can't drop below it...I think your current rank should be a fluid status just as it is now...only talking about the rewards at season end.  Next season you've gotta earn it all over again.

2. The ability to play ring games (or something, anything) while queuing for a ranked match.  With ranked matches often taking a pretty solid chunk of time to locate 6 players, especially in platinum or diamond, it's really tough to want to play in them given that you can do nothing but stare at a loading screen while searching.  Player volume combined with ranked system tweaks and matchmaking rules that would reduce queue times could definitely make this unnecessary, but if you're going to ask someone to wait 30+ minutes to play their desired game mode, give them something to do in the meantime.

I love a lot of the ideas above, especially the MTT's.  I'd personally love to play it but I think Omaha would be unlikely to have much participation without a pretty significant jump in player volume...just based on online poker site experience and knowing the relative percentage of people playing hold 'em vs Omaha and this game doesn't seem to be swimming in Hold 'em players as-is.

  • Changing the table items so the more expensive give you more of a boost %

currently all table items either give 5, 10 or 20% but it's just the item that may be expensive, for example I can either wth the bottle of water & someone else can sit with a gun but we both get the same boost %.

change this to allow the boost % to increase with the more you pay for an item, I can remember in WSOP FHP the boost % went up to 150%

  • Trivial: Get rid of obstacles that obstruct your view. I prefer an elevated view of all players.
  • I might get flamed, but I'd like to see a limit on sit-outs. After all, it's entertainment. Donkeying up and then walking away takes some fun out of it (even if it's a real strategy).

I don't want to report or remove AFK'ers, since I want their yummy chips.  What I want is the system to detect them (say after 3 hands) and put them in a state of auto-fold going forward until they come back and click "I'm Back" or something along those lines.

I was just thinking that it would be nice to be able to mark yourself as sitting out while you're in the queue waiting for players. Since the lobbies take so long to fill I often put myself in one and then wander off to do dishes or something and when I don't quite make it back when the game starts at least players won't be waiting out my full timer for the fold.

This is a really great idea! And would literally save people a lot of time and frustration.

From reading these comments, I think what people want is basically the real money poker clients operated by gambling companies with a Prominence Poker skin and items/rankings, etc.xD

For those asking for PLO, if you think people are playing loose with play money in holdem, wait until they play PLO.  STUD-7 would be far better.

I say add 7 card Stud too, its an awesome game.  I think PLO would be a great game to add first if Prominence is keen on adding more games.  The reason is its closest to Holdem and folks would feel more at ease playing it for the first time.  I think people would have a blast playing PLO, they would have to learn new strategies compared to Holdem.  But still I think the developers would see the success of adding the 2nd most popular form of poker onto their game.  It would give them confidence in adding 7-card stud.

It depends on what they want to do with their game. It says Prominence "Poker", we'll see if that means just Holdem or other games.  If they want to gamble on adding games then PLO would be a great first game to add.

Hello,

I'd like to see the following implemented at some point. Thanks for giving us a space to throw our ideas at you. Cheers!

1. A larger variation of unique animations directly associated with their table items. For instance, when using a vaporizer, holding it in one's closed fist rather than the current appearance of smoking a half lb. piece of metal with two batteries in it like a cigarette. LOL I see plenty of folks who spent A LOT of chips on a pistol only to have the damn thing sit there and do absolutely nothing. At least have the character do a safety check or something lol. There would be more of an incentive to purchase table items me thinks.

2. In game chat heads. Of course, with the option of turning it off or on. Sometimes people are in environments or situations where they can't use their mic.

3. Report button with several options to expose and report trolls, suspected cheaters etc. It doesn't have to be instant and could still require submission of video evidence through a link to the support website.

4. I'd like to see 9 hand games introduced.

5. Seasonal events with unique table items and clothes as rewards. Not sure if this is already a thing.

There will be more, but these are some of the things I've been thinking about recently. Thanks again.
