First off I love it.

This game is great for a xbox poker fan,the only thing let's it down for me is the fact that tournaments are only 6 man max.

20+ maybe 30 would be great, that for me is the only thing this game is missing .

It's such a great game it looks and feels great.

I'm sure there will be good things added to this great game.

It blows any other poker game on next gen out of the water easily.

Thanks for taking the time to post on the forums. We're stoked you like the game! Thanks for the suggestion.

No problem the hardcore players want to play tourneys and compete against each other.

I used to run tourneys on other poker titles and also on old gen.

It's only a suggestion as I don't think you can do much else to this great game.

If you did do this I can tell you everyone will love it,not that they don't like it at the minute because it's great.

Keep up the great work lads.

It's a tough call.  Waiting for a 20 or 30 man tourney to start can suck a lot of the players away from other games, and it might still be hard to get going.  I'm biased though, as six-handed sit-n-go's are my favorite way to play.  It's the perfect length.  you don't waste too much time, only to bust out, and it helps keep lots of games going.

I would like to see this as well, but if it weren't possible it wouldn't be anywhere near a problem for me. As the op stated, this game is already fantastic and can only get better.

My suggestion for this would be to have set days or time of days where there are lobbies in which you can have a few tables participating in the same tournament; just whenever the peak hours are. I think they'd fill up quite fast.

9 player should be the base for tournaments. Being only 6 player is just silly. Too slow and placing in 3rd still loses you money. 6 player tables dont even exist at my local casino for this reason alone. Implementation of 9 player tables, coding wise, is a breeze. Merely add them and deduct the 6 player tables of which is an oddity and usually reserved for charity events.

I think adding 9 players would be a great option, the more options the better.  But they should keep 6 max in, no reason to get rid of it.  I like 6 max for the ring games.  It encourages more action as the blinds come faster and you can see more hands faster as there are less people in the hand.

But yeah, add 9, but keep the 6 for those of us who love 6 max.

Multi-table tournaments would be awesome, if they could be added. Maybe have limited start times so they fill quickly. Something like starting only at the top of every hour certain times of day so people would be looking for them at specific times, rather than 10 people waiting for 20 more to join, which could take forever.

If they don't fill quickly, then reduce the total number available. Supply and demand.

Would also love to see 9 players per table as an option for tourneys and ring games.

While it's rather difficult to matchmake multi-table tournaments in real-time, my suggestion would be this:

- Continue having 6 player tourneys.

- Add 9 or 10 player single table tourneys matchmaked in real time.

- Add daily/weekly/monthly multi-table tournaments that run at a set time.  For instance, "Every Friday and Saturday night at 10pm EST are the Prominence Weeklys - 10,000 buy-in - up to 50 players per tournament.  Sign-ups are done in advance up to 5 minutes prior to starting"    So say you have 540 people log-in to play.  The game would run 10, 50 player tournaments and 1, 40 player tournament.

Dailys and Monthlys could be handled the same way with special event tournaments handled as the developers see fit.  I would suggest things where tournament bonuses include extra prizes to the final table and top 3 like chips, boosts, etc.....

Once ranking is in place, this could be incorporated.  And as that is expanded, so could the profile stats page too.  For instance, imagine they have a special monthly tournament with a name.  For instance, "The Prominent Monthly".   The winner could proudly display a little emblem or trophy under their profile as the winner of "The Prominent Monthly 1".

I've played poker for a long time and was a big part of the online poker boom in the early 2000s.  Seeing what sites like Full Tilt, Poker Stars, and others built was impressive.  While Prominence Poker isn't for real money, the devs have a tremendous opportunity here to build an online community in a poker game that respects, and rewards, skill level.  I really hope they see it the same way.

Nice thoughts and really looking forward to, but there's some timetables issues. 10pm EST is here in Finland 5am. And it's normally 3am on England. Summer time, like now it's 2am on London. It's a bit difficult to have it like that, but I like the process. At world wide, there is no chance to get everyone at the same table, but there's always a scoreboard. Which ain't a same thing, but it might do the thing. Or, there's Europe seperated from a America for instance.

I still love the sound of serious tournaments, like Porshapwr said.

I would like to see this implemented through daily events. Like a big tournament on the weekends with 100s of entries, whereas smaller tournaments four times daily.

It could be advertised on the home screen.

Yea I think daily and weekly tournies at set times would be great and i assume not too extremely difficult to implement, look forward to seeing the support the game gets from the community and development team

I would really like to see 9 player tables as well. I'm not sure that they would be able to do it though. The size of most tables, especially the bar, is only large enough to accommodate 6 players it seems.

Wrong answer !  If you have read about multiplayer tournaments backwards compatability you will realize there are several poker leagues who don't have anywhere to play 21 player tournaments on Xbox One one that currently run daily and nightly multiplayer tournaments on 360... our tables fill up in less than a minute with 21 people.  Adding the option for multiplayer table tournaments would be the best thing Xbox could do for our players and a lot of people are wanting this.

^^^^^

Was just gonna say that. Wsop toc 2007 games fill up in less then a minute. Once you establish yourself as a host...the people will come. SlaughterHouse  was the one of the 1st leagues on 360. Rawno1 started his own shortly after he figured out he couldn't hang with us lol

Btw....anyone from 360....i am the one and only SIKNASTY91. Loved by few....hated by many....RESPECTED BY ALL.

Imy hoping to run into some of the regulars from 360 on here.

I'd like 9 or 10 player unranked games. Also maybe add in an ante after 30 min to speed up tournaments. A testing game mode would be cool too. Something like what bf does on pc with the cte. This would allow for rapid testing of changes without effecting the entire game.

Thank You Farmer.

Now that I have you here....

Is there any logical explanation by the Prominence Poker Team, of why after 4 years this simple upgrade has not been consider?

Specially when is so clear that most players want it.

I don't speak for PP but...

On other inquires about any future updates it was acknowledge by the bean counters at Pipeworks that there would be no further upgrades to PP.

PP evolved from an early online poker game called WSOP Full House Pro written by the same Pipeworks developers to run on a previous version of Xbox, so maybe a new version of PP could be written and sold for some amount that would be profitable for the effort.

Bro...
You really have a lot of answers man, thanks, I appreciate it. This page is quite dead, I have trying to see if it moves but well, I guess you are at east a voice in the darkness...

That said, the next question is...

When I look at my stats, it waited until the end of the season to give the count on the Poker season, makes sense, but then is not counting either my tourneys entries or my tournament wins. I made it to silver, and it is registered like that, so even if a bug got the tournaments wins I have, why it doesn't even register the amounts of tournaments I have entered?

Neither from the past season or from this season.

I haven't a clue.

Perhaps it's just an error in a free game on the internet.
